Thanks Hazel! Yeah I agree, it would be nice to get the plastic stuff sorted too. I didn't know about the free compost bins, I didn't get a leaflet :( I think I will call the council and see if I can get one! xx

It is good, now that we have all these recycling bins, especially the food waste. My normal bin only has plasting in it these days and does not smell any more.
Last year the concil sent a leaflet through my door for free compost bins, but they were limited and I had to get up early and que up in Mona for one.
Shame they have not done anything about plastic waste, hope they do that one next.

great writing chrissie! I've no bins in my little village other than a super small black bin. I've got to fill my van with my rubbish...in fact i've got a whole bag of wine bottles rattling around all over my climbing gear as we speak. I went to Sainsbury's left my reusable bags in my van then forgot to recycle my wine bottles for the third week running! but I do try...maybe I should let Derbyshire Dales know that Wales is light years ahead of them!! Good on ya you eco warriers

Thanks Lucy! You are so right! We have oodles of packaging and unnecessary 'stuff' in almost every product we buy. I am bemused as to why people can't take just the simplest actions to help sort through their own rubbish?! Lets hope our kids take a more responsible attitude, as by the time they are grown ups they wont question recycling as some adults do today, as it will have always been part of their life. Wonderful pic isnt it!? A beautiful image..lets hope our great grandkids can see the same! Thanks hunny xxx

Great stuff Chrissie!! xxx
Why do some folk have such a problem with the task of 'recycling'?? Wonder if it is as simple as 'we don't like being told what to do!" kinda thing???
Hmmm... there are a few different ideas - some talk of fines, some talk of rewards??? But it's daft isn't it? We recycle to avoid filling our world with junk! How's about we curb our production of junk?? All the plastic tack, all the excessive packaging... and why is nothing built to last anymore!???? We all know the answer to that one - stuff doesn't last - so we buy more... and we do!!!??
Oh, how did that soap box get there?!
